The City of Oxford Swim Club (COSC) produced an exceptional performance at the English Swimming Nationals at Ponds Forge in Sheffield last week, accumulating a remarkable 7 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. A total of 22 swimmers qualified for 47 events, ultimately making a staggering 34 finals and attaining 53 PBs in the process.
Distinguished swims include 2 golds for Mimi Morley Iszatt (100m & 200m backstroke – 14 yrs); gold and silver for both Toby Mackay-Champion (100m & 50m breastroke – 18 + yrs) and Emily Ford (50m backstroke & 50m butterfly – 15 yrs); and gold and bronze for Kate Mills (200 m & 50m butterfly – 17 yrs). The other medal winners were golds for both Freddie Wilkinson in the 200m breastroke (16 yrs) and Delphine Little – 50m backstroke (14 yrs); silver for Lewis Gilchrist in the 200m backstroke; and bronze for Megan Smit in the 800m freestyle.
