City of Oxford Swimming Club’s age group swimmers were in medal winning form at the ASA South East Region Swimming Championships held at the K2, Crawley on 16th/17th May. City’s breaststrokers showed their class with Billy Wotton completing a clean sweep of breaststroke gold medals in the boys 11/12 year old age category, winning the 200m breaststroke in 2.52.34, the 100m in 1.20.99 and the 50m in 36.82. Not to be outdone 12 year old Natasha Fenton also took all 3 breaststroke gold medals in the girls 13 year old category (age at end of year) winning the 200m breaststroke in 2.47.68, 100m breaststroke in 1.17.51 and the 50m breaststroke in 35.34.
Delphine Little was also in medal winning form taking a total of 6 medals with 4 silvers in the 100m backstroke in 1.13.14, 100m freestyle (1.04.11), 50m freestyle (29.57) and 200m individual medley (2.39.59) and 2 bronzes in the 50m backstroke (34.28) and 100m butterfly (1.12.48). Daniel Jenkins added a further silver to City’s tally in the boys 14 year old 200m freestyle in 2.06.99, whilst 14 year old Chiara de Vita took bronze in the 200m breaststroke in 3.00.63.
