City of Oxford Swimming Club have been confirmed as national finalists in the National Arena Swimming League after their highest ever third place finish in the South Region Premier Division League table. After a delay in confirming the clubs who have qualified for the Finals Weekend to be held in Cardiff at the end of April, owing to a protest in the London League, City are thrilled that their strong performance in the South League final proved good enough to earn their first ever place in the National B final. City join an impressive list of the UK’s top clubs and show how the club has grown in strength under Head Coach, Amanda Booth’s, leadership. City are joined by Boldmere, Cardiff, Liverpool, Sheffield, Ealing, Northampton, Preston, Swansea and Thanet in the final.
Congratulations to all involved. Team supporters will be essential on the day. Please consider coming along to support the team, even if you don’t have a swimmer in the pool. It is really exciting and great fun. Hold the date in your diary –Saturday 25th April – and watch out for further information in the coming weeks.
