Headington School:
The IAPS TEAM swimmers were: year 5, Juliet Anthony, Tilly Boyns, Pearl Sophastienphong, (all COSC) Venetia Mahoney (Didcot), and year 6, Lily Brabbin, Maisie Kavanagh, Ellen Bagley (all COSC) and Lily Martin (Abingdon) all swimming for Headington School.
Juliet Anthony, Lily Brabbin, Pearl Sophastienphon and Ellen Bagley all reaching the finals in their events, resulting in Gold in the 25m Backstroke for Pearl and a Bronze in the 50m Breastroke for Ellen. These great swims helped Headington Girls finish Joint TOP in the under 10’s category and 2nd in the 10-13 age categories and the school team was placed second overall in the UK out of 300+ entries.
The parents from Headington School would like to thank Fabian Whitbread (COSC) and Miss Laura Smith (Headington School) for all their hard work in coaching the girls and helping them achieve PBs in both the individual events and the relays.
Dragon School:
City of Oxford Swimmers were also swimming for the Dragon School at the IAPS. Rebecca Snell and Jess Steel helped lead them to a bronze in the U13 freestyle relay.
